“Let’s Talk About Discipline & Consistency!!
January 23, 2022 was the day that I decided enough was enough. I was “motivated” to get back in shape because I didn’t like how I looked and more importantly how I felt. But I’m here to tell you that motivation alone isn’t enough to keep you going in the long run. Motivation will get you started but is not enough to keep you going for it is fleeting and short lived.
Developing Discipline and Consistency on the other hand will keep you going long after the feeling of being motivated is gone. Discipline is doing something even when you don’t feel like it. Consistency is doing something long enough to see results. These two traits combined is what transformed my body and mind within a year. Working out doesn’t only make you look good but it makes you feel good too and a great confidence booster.
It’s January 23, 2023 and I’m happy that a year ago today I made a decision to make a change. So if you’re thinking about starting your fitness journey then this is your sign to start and don’t stop. Remember that discipline and consistency is all it takes. Trust me, you will be thanking yourself a year from now!!
